Dear Parents and Guardians, The staff, governors and I are very pleased that you are interested in our school and hope very much that you enjoy reading about the life we all share here. If any of your queries are left unanswered then please feel free to contact me at school. Newbold Church of England Primary School is a church school with close links to the St. John the Evangelist situated on St. John’s Road. We are committed to providing a stimulating, caring and Christian learning environment. It is our goal to provide high quality education in which children are actively encouraged to achieve their potential. Our staff work closely together to ensure that our curriculum is both broad and balanced and allows every child to shine. We invest in excellence by encouraging the children to believe in themselves. Positive language is used at all times, even when circumstances demand chastisement and this ensures that all the children in our care learn to respect themselves, care for others and for their environment. Parents are partners in the education of their children and we value your support. You are warmly welcomed into our classrooms either to help the whole class, or to discuss how you may help your child at home. We look forward to working with you in the best interests of your child and very much hope that this will be the beginning of a successful and enjoyable association between you, your child and our school.
With warmest wishes,
David

Dear Parents and Guardians, Our school has been very much a part of the Newbold community for well over two hundred years. First in Newbold village, then in what is now the Eagle club and here on the present site in Cranborne Road where the large cross near the entrance reminds everybody of the school’s foundations and ethos. If you were to ask the question “What makes a church school different?” you might get the answer that these are places where the children are well cared for and everyone is valued. This should of course be true of all schools but church schools stand out because the love for Jesus is in evidence and the notion that God is actively involved in the world is not considered strange. Today with so many changes in society we believe in the importance of a school founded on Christian teaching and clear moral standards. We are particularly proud of our school’s reputation for it’s friendly atmosphere and the care it shows, both for individual pupils and for those involved in the work of the school. On behalf of the governors I wish to thank you for showing an interest in our school and hope that the brochure will encourage you to find out more about our work here.
Yours Sincerely,
Alan
